WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) will host the second annual Healthy Connections event at its Wisconsin Rapids campus Monday, April 9 from 9:00 a.m.-2:00 p.m. Open to the public and free of charge, MSTC Student Affairs staff organize the event to promote healthy behaviors in students. Healthy Connections activities include exhibit booths and hands-on demonstrations. Exhibitors will provide information about local services for free and reduced rates, as well as healthy choices in physical activity, mental health, nutrition and sexual behavior. Informational topics include health and fitness assessments, how to begin and maintain a healthy lifestyle and how to manage stress. Healthy Connections activities includes a coed volleyball tournament, which begins at 5:30 p.m. in the Gymnasium. The student group, CRU, is sponsoring the tournament to benefit the Family Center.
