WISCONSIN RAPIDS – The Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) Booster Club will host Student & Community Appreciation Night on Wednesday, January 17, in conjunction with the MSTC Cougars Men’s basketball game. The events will be held on the college's Wisconsin Rapids campus, 500 32nd Street North. The Cougars will play Fox Valley Technical College beginning at 7 p.m. in the E-Building gymnasium.
According to Stephany Hartman, Student Life & Athletics Coordinator, the purpose of Student & Community Appreciation Night is to thank students and community members for their support as well as broaden awareness of MSTC Athletics. "During the evening, attendees will be treated to free admission and popcorn and the first 100 fans will receive a free MSTC drawstring duffle. Additionally there will be a halftime shoot-out with the chance to win $100 cash," said Hartman. She added that the community event is an opportunity for area individuals and families to have a fun night out with no or minimal expense. "This is going to be a great event. I hope everyone in the community considers attending to watch a college men’s basketball game. The caliber of talent at this level of basketball is really exciting and MSTC is proud of its team and coaches.”
