New Employees at MSTC

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College (MSTC) has six new employees: Michael Briscoe, Sheila Collins, Ben Gillmore, Ann Ruesch, Lora Schultz and Brenda Swan.
   
briscoe Briscoe, Stevens Point, is a Counselor at the Stevens Point campus. Recently, he held the position of Director of Student Life, Counseling and Disability Services at East Georgia College in Swainsboro, Georgia. Previously, he provided community mental health services in residential treatment centers in Tennessee and served as a JTPA Career/Job Preparation Counselor in Kentucky. Briscoe earned a bachelor of arts degree in communications from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point, a master’s degree in guidance & counseling and post graduate work in counseling psychology were completed at Tennessee State University.
   
collins Collins, Wisconsin Rapids, is the Library Services Manager. She is responsible for the management of print, audio, visual and electronic learning resources. She previously held the positions of Library Director at Northwest State Community College and Defiance College in Ohio and has additional experience as a department head for the city of Lima Public Library. She also held management positions at George Washington University and Ohio Northern University Law Libraries and at a private law firm library. Collins earned a bachelor of arts degree in education from the State University College at Brockport, New York, a master of library science degree from the University of Buffalo and a juris doctor degree from the University of Buffalo School of Law.
   
gillmore Gillmore, Cashton, is a Steamfitter Apprenticeship Instructor. He has over twenty years of experience in construction/reconstruction and service/repair at various businesses, including Johnson Controls, D&L Controls and Complete Control. Previously, he held the position of HVAC Manager at Heartland Country Cooperative and owner/operator of an HVAC business. Most recently he was an Instructor with Local 434 Steamfitters and Plumbers. Gillmore completed a steamfitter apprenticeship at Milwaukee Area Technical College, a welding technical diploma from Waukesha County Technical College, additional courses at Western Technical College and instructor training at Washtenaw Community College in Ann Arbor, Michigan. He is pursuing a bachelor of science degree in Career, Technical Education & Training at University of Wisconsin-Stout.
   
ruesch Ruesch, Wisconsin Rapids, is a Nursing Instructor. She previously held staff nursing duties at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Wood County Health Department and most recently at Northwest Day Treatment. She also served as an MSTC adjunct instructor. Ruesch earned a bachelor of science in Nursing from the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh, a master of science degree in Nursing from the University of Phoenix and a master of science in Public Health from the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse.
   
schultz Schultz, Stevens Point, is the Tech Prep Specialist. She develops, implements and evaluates activities for the school districts comprising the Mid-Wisconsin School-to-Work Partnership and coordinates the District Youth Options responsibilities. Previously, Schultz held positions of Youth Programs Advocate in Wood and Portage Counties for CESA #5 and as a supervisor and case manager for various youth and adult programs with Professional Services Group, Inc. She was also employed at Tomorrow’s Children, Inc. in Waupaca as a Youth Trainer/Counselor. Shultz earned a bachelor of arts degree in Psychology from Lawrence University.
   
swan Swan, Wisconsin Rapids, is the Financial Information Assistant. She performs various Business Office functions and assists the Business Office staff. For the past five years, she was an accountant at CAP Services, Inc. where she performed payroll and other accounting responsibilities. Her previous employment was with ServiceMaster where she held the position of Administrative Assistant for five years. Swan earned a bachelor of science degree in Managerial Accounting from the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.
