MSTC Foundation Receives Donation from Roche-A-Cri Lions Club

WISCONSIN RAPIDS – Mid-State Technical College Foundation received a $1,000 donation from the Roche-A-Cri Lions Club for the Karen Lecy Memorial Endowment Fund established by friends and colleagues. Karen was a long time and active member of the Lions organization and served as MSTC’s AODA Counselor for 14 years. This fund will provide a scholarship each fall to an Adams County resident pursuing higher education at MSTC. Charlotte Fitzpatrick, Friendship, was the first recipient in October 2005.

The Roche-A-Cri Lions Club is a non-profit organization involved in many community projects including sponsorship of softball teams, collection of used eye glasses and hearing aids used in third-world countries, distribution of Christmas baskets, partnership with Habitat for Humanity and hosting many fund raising events such as Rec Days held annually during the third weekend in July. The Roche-A-Cri Lions Club also supports high school scholarship programs, the Wisconsin Lions Foundation and camp in Rosholt.
