Overview
Learn to coordinate the activities of a hospital nursing unit and other healthcare settings.
Develop customer service skills and learn clerical and non-clinical funtions. Oral and written communication skills, computer operation and medical order transription will be reviewed.
Support courses provide a background in basic medical terminology, anatomy and physiology that will prepare you to understand and use the language of healthcare.
The HUC program is a shared program with Northcentral Technical College. In order for NTC students to enroll in this collaborative program, students would apply to MSTC for admission and financial aid. Students who complete this program receive a HUC technical diploma from MSTC.
The Health Unit Coordinator (HUC) core program courses are offered as online classes and supported by select classes taken at either the Marshfield or Stevens Point campuses. |
